Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a course of 3 years duration which is divided into six semester of six moth each. PhD Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a doctoral level course consisting of extensive research work related to the electrical field. Like any other PhD course, this course gives more importance to theoretical subjects while also giving its students a chance to do practical work.
The Eligibility Criteria of this course students holding an M.Phil. degree in Electronics or qualifying an M.E. or MTech. Degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks is eligible to apply for this course. All candidates except the ones who hold an M.Phil. degree are required to qualify the GATE Entrance test. In some universities, the students are also required to qualify the National Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
