Bachelor of veterinary science is a 5.5 (6 month internship period) years undergraduate degree course in the field of veterinary science. The course is also known as B.V.Sc . It deals with the prevention, management, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, disorder, and injury in animals. The course will cover many of the same topics covered on a medical degree, but focusing on animals rather than humans. Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with PCB with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of the country are eligible for admission into this course. B.V.Sc course is suitable for those who consider themselves to be lovers of animals, who want to start animal husbandry and care firms, and who want to build a career in animal husbandry. After completing the course, B.V.Sc graduates can opt for various roles, such as a veterinary surgeon, veterinary assistant, veterinary consultant, technologist, and other similar roles. One may also own his or her clinic and provide advise to pet owners who come to get care for their pets illnesses, injuries and diseases.
