Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Oral Surgery is a post-graduate level degree with a duration of three years. Oral surgery is a specialty of surgery in medical science which deals with treating injuries, damages caused and defects in the mouth and jaws. A dental specialist who has completed MDS (Master of Dental Sciences) in oral surgery performs these surgical procedures. The candidates must have completed the BDS from a recognized institute that is approved by the dental council of India with a minimum of 55%.The candidate must have completed the internship of 1-year internship after the BDS course. The average fees for the course ranges between INR 10,000 to 25 Lakhs per annum in various colleges and universities. The average salary ranges between INR 15000-INR 1 lac which all rely on the skills and experience of candidates.
