About Maharishi Markandeshwar University(MMU), Solan, Himachal Pradesh
The lush green Maharishi Markandeshwar University spread over an area of 47 acres with exotic surroundings of green hills is ideally located on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway at Sultanpur Road, Solan (H.P.) in the lap of the 'devbhoomi' of great Himalayan. Established as a Multi faculty University in the name of the Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji, a great disciple of Lord Shiva, the foundation stone of the University was laid by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal Ji on 22 February 2009. With his blessings, the University has been operational with effect from the academic session 2010-11 with the admissions to the School of Engineering & Technology, School of Computer Technology and School of Business Management. More Institutes of Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Fashion Design, etc. will come up in the coming sessions.

Scholarship Details
Merit Scholarship :
In addition to providing financial assistance to the students on merit-cum-means basis, Merit Scholarship to the extent of Rs.1,00,000/-, Rs.75,000/- & Rs. 50,000/- will be awarded to each of the first, second and third topper students from each of the districts of Himachal Pradesh. Similarly five Merit Scholarship to the extent of Rs.1,00,000/- (One), Rs.75,000/- (Two) and Rs. 50,000/- (Two) will be awarded on the basis of combined merit of the students coming from other states

MMU Solan is a reputed institution. Multiple ranking bodies have ranked the institute under various categories. MMU Solan has maintained good ranks over the years and is ranked at #151-200 in the 'University' category by the NIRF.
Placement Records & Support
MMU Solan placement report 2023 is not released. However, according to Maharishi Markandeshwar University overall NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during MMU Solan MBBS and MD / MS placements 2022 stood at INR 9.60 LPA and INR 1.44 LPA, respectively. Further, the placement rate recorded during MMU Solan MBBS and MD / MS placements 2022 was 100%. Apart from this, the median package offered during MMU Solan UG 4-year placements 2022 stood at INR 2.28 LPA.
