BA (Bachelor of Arts) Tourism Studies is a three-years undergraduate degree course in the field of tourism and travel. In this course, students learn about various subjects like tourism marketing, travel guiding, hotel management, food service management, intercultural communication and more. The BTS Program is designed for those students who are interested in pursuing a career in travel and tourism sector at different level. To apply for this undergraduate course, the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Admissions to the program are through entrance exams for some of the colleges and for others it is based on the merit of 10+2 marks. The average fees for this undergraduate program in tourism range from INR 2,388 to INR 176,000. After completion of the course, the students will have the opportunity to join the tour and travel industry in the above roles as mentioned above. The tourism industry being a fast-growing field, there are opportunities in the private as well as the government sector. The average starting salaries range from INR 180,000 to INR 250,000.
