Scholarship Details
Introduction:
The Institute awards merit scholarships to deserving students of the B Tech programs. Scholarships of a value equal to the tuition fee for the duration of the program (eight semesters only) are awarded for each category. From the 2024-25 batch, the scholarship scheme will be as follows.
1. Selection of Merit Scholarship Awardees:
The selection criteria would be as follows:
- Scholarships would be awarded to the top five (5) students who are admitted to the program with an All India Rank in JEE Main (conducted by CBSE) better than 5000 (n.b. smaller numerical value indicates higher rank: student with rank 01 is the best performer nationally). In case such candidates are less than five, the remaining scholarships (five minus the awarded) may be transferred to Merit-cum-Means category.
- Scholarships would be awarded to the top three (3) students who are admitted to the program via ACPC with an ACPC Merit Rank (GUJCET-based) better than 25 (n.b. smaller numerical value indicates higher rank: student with rank 01 is the best performer nationally). In case such candidates are less than three, the remaining scholarships (three minus the awarded) may be transferred to Merit-cum-Means category.
Key Achievements
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Government of India has accredited DA-IICT with an A+ Grade (CGPA 3.32/4) in 2023.
Placement Records & Support
The Placement Cell at DA-IICT is a concept in its own form. It has the following structure consisting of three important parts viz. the placement office consisting of the Manager (Placements) and placement secretary, the faculty members and finally the student representatives from each program. The structure aims at touching all the aspects required for the smooth functioning of the placement process.
Campus placements at DA-IICT provide the students with a foot-in- the-door opportunity, enabling them to start off their career right after they have completed their course curriculum. Furthermore, they get to interact and engage with the industry professionals during the placement drives, which further help lay a foundation for their prospective career in the future as they familiarise with potential contacts from their chosen career field.
The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the institute by being in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising.
We have been successful in maintaining our high placement statistics over the years and the fact that our students bear the recession blues with record breaking placements itself is a testimony to our quality. Our ingenious alumnae have set new standards in the corporate world through their estimable contributions and it is my firm conviction that we will continue that legacy in the years to come.
