Symbiosis was founded by visionary Dr S B Mujumdar in 1971 as an International Cultural and Educational Center. Symbiosis provides a “home away from home” to a large number of students including foreign students who come to Pune in pursuit of higher education. Dr S.B. Mujumdar was awarded the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan by His Excellency President of India. Living up to its name which is a botanical term meaning “living together for mutual benefit”, Symbiosis has grown over the past four decades into a family of 43 academic institutions providing education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation in a wide range of disciplines. Today, Symbiosis is ranked amongst the top education providers in the country and is known in India and abroad for its excellence in education.

Scholarship Details
The Symbiosis International Scholarships are funded by the Symbiosis Society Foundation and are offered to deserving and meritorious foreign students from various African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries.

With an investment of over Rs 200 crores, Symbiosis has created; a state-of-the-art infrastructure spread over 25 acres. Academic buildings, hostels for boys & girls, Centre of Excellence, specialized training labs and workshops, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences are a hallmark of this University.
Symbiosis, Indore has imported specialized skill training machinery from Germany to impart hands-on practical training to its students.
Placement Records & Support
More than 90% of the students get placed. The highest package offered in the year 2022 was INR 24 LPA and the lowest ranges around INR 3 LPA- INR 4 LPA. Hence, you can get an average of around INR 8 LPA. Students apply for off-campus too.
