About Manav Bharti University (M.B.U), SOLAN, HIMACHAL PRADESH
The Manav Bharti Charitable Trust (MBCT) is a not for profit making Trust. The objects of the Trust are poverty, education, medical relief and any other object of general public utility not involving the carrying on of any activity for profit. MBCT provides scholarships, fellowships, stipends or other periodically monetary help to deserving students. It is also helping and supporting the poor, destitute, widows and orphans. MBCT has established various educational institutes for spreading quality education at economical prices.
Manav Bharti University was established in 2009 under the H.P. Private University (Establishment & Regulation) Act and is owned by Manav Bharti Charitable Trust with the aim to advance and disseminate the knowledge and maintain highest standard of learning through teaching, research, extension education programme and conceptual aspects relevant to the need of the state. The University is committed to make all round social transformation through spread of quality education in rural area.
Two free charitable hospitals cum laboratories are being run by “Manav Bharti Charitable Trust” for needy and poor people. This trust has earned a reputation in the field of employment based education.

Scholarship Details
MBU has established the following Scholarship schemes for the students studying in Diploma,Bachelor's,Master's courses from the coming Academic Session.
1.Merit Scholarship for GEN/SC/ST/OBC Categories.
2.Scholarship for other weaker sections of the Society.
3.Scholarship for single girl child students.
RESERVATION:
25% of the seats are reserved for bonafide students of Himachal Pradesh. The allocation of seats for the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped) shall be as per the policy of the State Government.

Placement Records & Support
The University has constituted a placement cell which keeps a close liaison with Industry Sector and invites senior R&D faculties from various industries for close interface and campus recruitment. The goal of Placement Cell is to provide employment opportunities and world class training to students in leading organizations. The Placement Cell is well equipped with ample infrastructure in terms of Testing & Consultancy Hall for Pre Placement Talk, Presentations etc.
All the reputed organizations including MNCs come to the University for Campus Recruitment. To achieve its goal, the Placement Cell works toward recognizing the core competency of students. It works through a close knot organization and has a structure which conveys information to the students at the fastest possible rate. A common placement brochure for all courses is published. The Placement Cell firmly believes in 'Industry-Institute Interaction'. In order to accomplish 'Industry-Institute Interaction' it organizes technical talks and national seminars to provide a platform for the budding engineers to interact with professionals from various industries.
It encourages visits to the industries by the University students. It arranges for industrial problems to be worked on by students as part of their projects. It also takes suggestions from members of industry regarding designing/changing of curriculum.
