Akal University is a private university in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, India. [ 1] It is set up by Kalgidhar Society. [ 2] It was established in 2015 under The Akal University Act, 2015 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 2015). [ 3] Akal University was approved by State Government in March 2015. [ 4] Inauguration of Akal University took place on 17 July 2015.

Akal University was established in 2015 and is located in Bathinda, Punjab. At present, the university offers BA, B.Sc and B.Com at UG level. Similarly, at PG level, MA, M.Sc and M.Com courses are offered. Integrated B.Ed programs are offered for four years duration. Akal University also offers Ph.D program in seven specializations.
- Application forms for all the courses are to be filled online and has to be submitted to the University office.
- A candidate may apply for more than one subject with separate application form and application fee for each course.
- For admission to BA, B.Com and B.Sc courses, candidates should have passed HSC with from recognized board with minimum 60% marks.
- Minimum Eligibility for PG courses is Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks.
- Selection of all the UG and PG courses is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.
- Admission to Ph.D program is done on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the University.
