Chitkara University is a private university located in Rajpura, Punjab, India. Chitkara University was founded by the Punjab State Legislature under ├oΓe¼┼oThe Chitkara University Act├oΓe¼┬¥ in 2010.The university comes under the establishment of the Chitkara Educational Trust based in Chandigarh and founded by Dr Ashok K Chitkara and Dr Madhu Chitkara in 1998. Chitkara University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Relevant programs are approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Indian Nursing Council (INC) and National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). Chitkara University was ranked in the 180├oΓe¼ΓC£200 band among universities in India by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020. Scholarship Details
Chitkara University grants admissions to students with scholarships offered by the Punjab government and AICTE. To avail of these scholarships, students shall meet the minimum eligibility criteria. These scholarship schemes are introduced to provide financial aid to students belonging to minorities, SC/OBCs, or from Jammu and Kashmir. Chitkara University accepts scholarship students for a lot of its courses.
